So When Should We Think About Ageing?

The Earlier the Better

Keeping our brain and body active, eating healthy food, being connected to friends and family will all help us to age well.

But it is never too late to start

We are tempted, with each new decade, or each new health problem, to be less and less active. But we should actually be doing just the opposite. Ideally we are all in training for older age.

Remember the fitness gap?

Each small, healthy change, whenever we make it, will help to close the gap.

Our material circumstances matter too. As well as our physical and mental fitness, we want to plan for our financial wellbeing in older age.

In the next section we look at what we are doing as individuals and as a community to age healthily in Torbay.
